why bearing hope?

A cancer diagnosis changes everything.

No child, teen, young adult, or family should have to WADDLE ALONE.  Bearing Hope exists to provide encouragement, connection, and moments of joy during the unBEARable.

Hope can be found in the smallest moments, a handwritten note, a new friendship, a shared laugh, or simply knowing someone understands.

Through our four foundations: Awareness, Advocacy, Assistance, and Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Support.

Who AND HOW WE BRING HOPE

Toddlers to teens, all those in between, and the families that love them.

COMMUNITY & CONNECTION

Building friendships with others who truly understand.

Creating a connection with other nonprofit organizations to serve better.

MENTAL HEALTH MOMENTS

Gentle opportunities to pause, breathe, create, laugh and care for emotional well being throughout treatment and beyond.  Time  to have fun and be a penguin, or care packages for boredom busters.

ENCOURAGEMENT PROGRAMS

Cards, care packages, birthday surprises, and reminders that every child is seen and valued.

FUN ALONG THE PATH

Because childhood doesn't stop with cancer.

Because teens and young adults have unique sets of needs.

We create opportunities for hopeful connections and smiles:

Alea-BearingHope.webp

Our founder witnessed firsthand

how childhood cancer

impacts every stage of life.

While many wonderful organizations like

BH2U serve young children,

adolescents and young adults (AYA)

often find themselves in an

underserved space -

too old for pediatric activities, and

yet too young for adult cancer programs.

Bearing Hope was created

so every age, and

every stage of a cancer diagnosis, has

an inclusive place to belong.

Because no one should waddle

this path alone.

WE WILL WADDLE

THROUGH IT TOGETHER.

Are you the parent or guardian of a child newly diagnosed with cancer?
